2014 Fall Practices & Important Dates

1.    Open Tryouts (for players in 2nd-12th grades)
It all starts here. Once you make a Madlax team you can participate and register for ALL of the amazing offerings detailed below. We have open 'rolling' tryouts for U9-2015 teams all fall. If you are new to Madlax All-Stars and want to join our program you must only register for an 'open tryout' above by clicking on the 'Online Application'.  We do have limited roster spots available on each of our teams and we will create 2 teams, AA and A level, at each age/grade. Orange is our top team and Blue is our 2nd team. Madlax is really trying to create nationally competitive AA level Orange teams with the goal of becoming the best team in the country each spring and summer. Fall is the best time to get in! We hope you will tryout and join our program this fall if you are an advanced player and great athlete for your age. Our teams are already very competitive and consistently considered one of the strongest in the nation but we want to be #1. We need a few more talented players to join us and our academy. Read more about our All-Stars Academy here.

Remember if you were on a Madlax Orange team in summer 2014 you are automatically in the all-stars academy going forward in the fall 2014 but we require you to attend tryouts as we start new age divisions on 9.1.14. So to be clear....ALL returning players MUST attend the tryout dates since we create new teams.

Age requirements. Effective 9.1.2014. Birth Dates do not matter once you start high school. We have roster spots available on these teams below only.
2015: Seniors as of 9.1.14
2016: Juniors as of 9.1.14
2017: Sophomores as of 9.1.14

2019/U15: 8th graders as of 9.1.14
2020/21/U13: 6th & 7th graders as of 9.1.14
2022/23/U11: 4th & 5th graders as of 9.1.14
2024/25/U9: 2nd & 3rd graders as of 9.1.14

2.    Fall Sunday League
Madlax-Capital All-Stars enters many teams of all ages and grades in a game only league played on Sundays. It is a great way to touch a stick at least once a week and stay sharp. If you are playing a fall sport you can usually do this as well since we don’t practice in the fall. You have to be in our program to play on our teams.

3.    Practices & Workouts
These are FREE and included for all Madlax All-Stars who are part of the Academy. These are more than just practices. Most of these focused workouts are NON-CONTACT so there is very minimal risk of injury but BRING FULL PADS as occasionally we will go 1v1, 4v4 or 6v6. We will split into multiple groups on the two fields by age to increase reps. We will run shooting, dodging, defense, goalie and face-off specific coaching and drills. These workouts are a FANTASTIC opportunity and a great way to get better this fall!  Some Fridays we will also do 30 minutes of speed and explosion training. One age group each week may have a normal spring-like team practice half field practice. We will input offenses, defenses, EMO and MDD as necessary also for each age group so we perform better in games and tourneys.
