1.1.12 News: We are excited to officially annouce a new premier lacrosse event to be held at the gorgeous Potomac Polo grounds just outside Washington, DC. The Madlax Summer 'CAPITAL CLASSIC' tournament for boys. You can combine this tournament with the unmatched 4th of July celebration in DC and it will surely be a memorable few days. If you have any questions or need any help email the director at info@madlax.com You can register your team for the 2012 Tournament here, Pay by March 1, 2012 and SAVE $100! This event will fill up so it pays to be organized and register early. We look forward to our 1st annual Summer CAPITAL CLASSIC Tournament being competitive, fun and the best event you have have ever attended ! We intend to have two skill division per age in 2012 so games are always closer. 2012 Tournament Age Divisions: 2012 Required and Helpful Forms Parents Consent / Player Waiver Form - Required by 7.21.12 Team Roster Form - Required by 7.18.12 Field and Layout Map of the Polo Grounds Directions to the Potomac Polo Grounds (Jerusalem and Elgin Roads, Poolesville, MD 20837). We will post the fastest and easiest driving directions from 495 later.
Details/Rules: NCAA rules apply except in the U11 division where we will not play clearing counts anywhere. Also one can use any stick. Clock and penalties are running time. You will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Games will be two 24 minute running halves or four 11 minute quarters depending on heat. Stop clock in last 2 minutes if game is within 3 goals. 1 TO in 2nd half only if game is within 3 goals. 2 teams in each division will make Championship but all teams get 5th game to determine finish. High School division will for be rising sophs only (failure to follow this rule and use junoirs or seniors will result in disqualification). You must wear your own team jerseys/uniforms. Custom under armour tech tees for Championship winning teams. Fee: Only $1400 for U11, U13 and U15 teams. U9 is only $1100. ONLY $1300 for older teams if paid by 3.1.12. NSCLA Teams receive 10% discount. Coaches, commissioners, or team organizers must download registration forms and email or fax in to hold a spot. How: We only take team registrations. Coaches, commissioners, or team organizers should register today as we will only take the first teams to sign up. Players will only need to turn in signed waiver release forms the first day of the tourney at check-in. Click the links above for all tournament forms. Hotel/Lodging Deals: Extras: The "Mad Cafe" will be set up and there will be food and drinks all day long (BREAKFAST and LUNCH) courtesy of of our special BBQ chefs. A light breakfast and a big lunch and drinks for you to enjoy. Madlax Lacrosse Specialty Store will set up a small retail booth! This is where you will be able to buy Official Tourney Tees as well. Tents are allowed but no pets or grills. Automatic Sports will film all Championship Games which will be available after the event. www.automaticsports.com.
