 MadLax Capital Lacrosse Classic - November 28, 2010
8/1/10 News The 2010 Capital Classic will be on 11/28. Register today as this popular tournament will hit the maximum teams allowed by October1. Payment is due by October 1st or we will allow teams off waiting list. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER YOUR TEAM FOR THE CAPITAL CLASSIC 2010 Details: Full 10v10 Games. A guaranteed minimum of 3 games plus a Final 4 and Finals for most divisions. Most divisions play 4 games. We will have 5 divisions of play; HS Elite, High School, Junior Elite, Super Junior Elite, and Future Elite. HS Elite will be comprised of 16-20 HS all-star teams and high level varsity teams as selected and seeded by the tournament Directors. The HS division will be open to 12-16 varsity teams, higher level JV teams, and 9th and 10th grade all-star teams. Junior Elite will be U15 (no 9th graders allowed), Super Junior Elite will be U13, and the Future Elite will be U11 (birth years below). Division winners advance to playoffs. You must wear your own team jerseys/uniforms. MadGear Apparel for winning teams. Tents are allowed and you are asked to stay on campus until all your games are done to reduce uneccessary traffic for the Episcopal and St. Stephen's communities. There will be a Madlax Retail Store/Tent inside the field house at Episcopal only between 9am-3pm. We have hired Automatic Sports to film MOST games for EVERY division. You can buy individual games and order highlight films from them directly via email at sales@automaticsports.com or on the wb at www.automaticsports.com They are professional filmers and editors and know lacrosse well. Finally, we have hired PowerPlay Photography to shoot the entire tourney. They will have photos to order post event as well. Get ready for a fantastic weekend. Fee: Only $1250 per team due by October 1st. Coaches, commissioners, or team organizers must download registration forms and email or fax in. Who: For Varsity, JV High School and All-Star Boys Teams ages 10-18 welcome from the US and Canada. Emailed rosters are due by November 15th. How: We only take team registrations. Coaches, commissioners, or team organizers should register today as we will only take the first teams to sign up. Teams from 2009 get the first option to play and take spots before 10/1 and thenwe will take new teams. Each team coach must submits all waiver-releases from all players and a team roster. They plan to do a light breakfast and a big lunch for you to enjoy. They will have sport drinks as well. 2009 Tourney News: The tournament Highlight Video is now posted below. Thank you to everyone involved in the 3rd annual Capital Classic. Yesterday was a major success and ran very smoothly. Players, coaches, parents, fans, field coordinators, general managers, parking attendants, trainers and assistants made it a memorable event. We hope everyone had a positive experience, played or watched a high level of lacrosse and enjoyed the beautiful late fall sunny day. We hope to see every team back in 2010. They filmed every single game in the High School Elite and High School divisions as well as the finals in A special congratulations goes to the divisional Champions (runner up)! Note: HS Elite group winners who made semi-finals were: Good Counsel, Madlax #1, Gonzaga and St. Mary's Saints Blu. The HS group winners who made the semi-finals were: St. John's, Christchurch, Madlax #2 and St. Mary's Saints White. Updated 'Rain Schedule' Game Locations: EHS has 3 Field Turf Fields and 2 Bermuda Grass Fields and is the premier facility in the entire DC Metro area. We also will use the Minnie Howard field turf (U13 only) and two St. Stephen's Field Turf fields. That means we will have 8 fields total and 6 are Field Turf! We will NOT use shuttle buses so you must get to the correct school prior to your first game.

2007 Tournament Highlights and Recaps: What a fantastic all-around day we had for the 2007 tournament. We hope you enjoyed your experience and we look forward to hosting you next year. Congratulations to the Iroquois U19 Nationals and Madlax 2 for winning the 'High School Elite' and 'High School' divisions respectively! Final 4 teams in the HS Elite division were St. Stephen's who lost to Iroquois, and Gonzaga who lost to DeMatha. Madlax 2 beat Loudoun Fuze Gold 5-4 with an exciting last second goal in the high school division Championship. Videos in the 'Community' section are live. Thanks for participating.
