The Madlax-Capital All-Star teams are made up of elite level boys ages 8-18 (u9-seniors) from the entire VA, MD, and DC greater metro area. Madlax attends national recruiting tournaments and elite level all-star tournaments in the spring, summer and fall. We have year round positional workouts and offer a comprehensive character development program unmatched in the area. Our philosphy emphasizes CASE (Character, Attitude, Success, Effort) in specific aspects of our our all-star academy. We cover college recruiting exposure, advanced skill development, and overall character growth through the high school, junior high school and middle school years. Since 1999, Madlax has also been very successful at placing our student-athletes in excellent academic colleges with strong lacrosse programs. All of our head coaches have impressive high school or college coaching experience.

Tryout Process and Who Can Tryout:
Tryouts are open to any and all boys who qualify by birth year or grade and attend any school or live in the Greater DC, VA, MD area (or attend a boarding school). We allow PG's to play as well. Once you make the team you will invited to be in the All-Star Academy program upon signed commitment. Be sure to read link describing Academy Details.

Birth Date Requirements for Each division (effective 9.1.11 through 8.31.12):
Seniors: seniors or PG's (age does not matter)
Juniors: juniors (age does not matter)
Sophomores: sophomores (age does not matter)
Freshmen : freshman (age does not matter)
U-15: 1/1/1997 - 8/31/1998 (No 9th graders even if birth year eligible)
U-13: 9/1/1998 - 8/31/2000
U-11: 9/1/2000 - 8/31/2002
U-9: 9/1/2002 and sooner/younger

Open Academy Tryouts Details
We hold "open tryouts" for all ages for any new players who want to try to join the Madlax-Capital All-Stars Academy throughout the year. See our seasonal pages for details. Our largest tryout period has always been early summer but you can get in at any point now. If you want to tryout, you MUST register for a tryout above by clicking on the 'Online Application' tab. If you make a team you are part of the Academy going forward and receive all the benefits of the Academy. (Be sure to read all Academy details linked below). We will contact you after you register for a tryout and let you know where we will ask to evaluate you. We could evaluate you in a workout session or in a game. Again, once you register for an open tryout we will let you know how to proceed.

On June 1, 2010 Madlax started the exciting MADLAX ACADEMY for all players who make the Madlax-Capital All-Stars program. This is our main all-star focus as we aim to greatly improve your son's elite lacrosse experience year round. Those who play a school fall or winter sport can still easily particpate in the MADLAX ACADEMY as we schedule around high school sports generally. More coaching, more practices, more attention and the CASE (character, attitude, success, effort) initiative makes better players and better teams! Check out our new Academy logo.

Madlax is recognized nationally as one of the premier all-star programs in the nation by college coaches. Since 1999 Madlax has been the area's premier program. We often have juniors who verbally commit to D1 college lacrosse programs BEFORE Christmas each year becasue we offer the greatest exposure in the best tournaments annually. Madlax All-Stars will benefit from features, like CASE-Character-Attitude-Success-Effort which hopefully instill character traits that last a lifetime. Madlax was ranked #6 National Ranking in 2009 (according to IL.com) and finished #3 in 2011 at the NSCLA Champions Cup. We have sophomores listed on the national IL.com watchlist. We have and will continue to create a buzz with press releases, blog and forum entries, and articles about Madlax on insidelacrosse.com to market our players within the Madlax program overall. Ultimately, we feel this will further enhance the exposure of our our program and draw greater attention nationally to our young men on EVERY team in our program. You can exepct more from Madlax.

Our College Placement Record and respected relationships with college coaches are what set us apart from every local club team. We have placed over 350 students into colleges through our elite program since 1999 when we started. Our outstanding coaches are all college or high school coaches. Our coaches are carefully selected and have received outstanding praise from parents for years. We know you have options of other local club teams these days but remember our college connections are simply unmatched in the DC area and playing college lacrosse is ultimately a major reason for most for why you are playing for Madlax. Madlax is always trying to enhance its local, regional and national reputation as the premier all-star program for boys ages 8-18. Register now to be a part of it.

Madlax is an incredible opportunity for boys in the DC Metro area so we want to afford EVERYONE the opportunity to play. We have set aside scholarship money and offer payment alternatives and plans for those that require them.
